At Perry Wellness Center, Fridays are a time of increased leisure and fun. There are no planned groups or other structured activities for peers and staff. The end of the week is seen as a time of relaxation and socializing with others.
From the time of arrival at the center, peers are welcomed into a cheerful environment. Although the time is unstructured, staff members remain busy in conversations with peers as they assess their progress in meeting recovery goals.
“Our days get better and better at Perry Wellness Center,” says PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry. “We try to provide each client with a day of relaxed fun and music, along with a time for required interviews and staff documentation.”
As Virginia Bruce and Irvin Cook, Jr., demonstrate in the above photo, Fridays at Perry Wellness Center, Fridays are a great time to turn up the music and dance!
