Joyce PerryWith the weather forecast predicting continued hot weather and afternoon showers, Rudy’s Happy Patch Market’s customers continue the trend of arriving early in the day to shop. One recent morning was no exception.

As shoppers made produce selections, market manager Kelly Jansen dealt with the early arrival of two fall staples – garden mums and hay.

“I get hay to be a display base of our colorful mum selections,” Kelly explained. “It does help to raise the display up a bit for customer selection.”

Also enjoying some early morning browsing at the market was a very special customer, Mrs. Joyce Perry. “Aunt Joyce,” as she is called on campus, is the aunt of Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry. She and her late husband, Bill Perry, were staunch supporters of the center from its beginning, and her support continued today. On this morning, she filled a bag with late tomatoes from nearby Buchanan Farms.
