With the temperatures dropping to more seasonal levels, Happy Patch Market is experiencing an increase in customer traffic. Many of our visitors are now requesting organic produce. One of the more popular items is fresh blueberries from nearby Easterlin Farms.
Market manager Kelly Jansen says, “These berries have been popular. The name of the farm – Easterlin-- and the label “Certified and Organic” have increased sales.”
This week, the inventory of fresh berries was very low because of a stellar weekend of market activity. But Jansen is on top of the situation.
“We have more coming this week,” he assures customers. Whether freezing them for fall cobblers or enjoying them fresh over homemade ice cream, blueberry lovers will not be denied!
