During the closure of Rudy’s Happy Patch Market for several weeks, expectations and hopes were high for the return of both former and new customers. Those hopes were realized this past weekend when we opened the gates and welcomed visitors for Mothers Day weekend shopping.
“I know that our shut down at this time of year has been difficult for our regular customers,” says Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry. “It has also been hard for us. The anticipation and preparation of the market has been challenging, so that all will be safe.”
As the gates opened last week, Stuart was eager to visit with customers and thank them for their visit to the market. One customer who caught Stuart’s eye was Ms. Joanne Albritton, who had driven down all the way from Taylor County to be an early customer. She was in search of the perfect orange calla lily.
Most of the calla lilies were planted in the camps gardens. So market staff member Jamie Minich dug up some prime plants and presented them to the happy customer.
“Now that is a great customer who will drive a distance to support us and purchase from our plant inventory,” Stuart beamed. Thanks to all our customers, near and far, who showed their support by stopping by!
