We’re getting into the holiday spirit at Perry Wellness Center! Along with other preparations; e.g., our pumpkin painting contest, we have been displaying colorful Halloween decorations made by several peers.
Certified peer specialist Sarah Teal decided to organize a peer group to kick off the holiday season. She began the group by sharing information about Halloween plans and reviewing the upcoming holiday season. It was decided that peers and staff would team up to decorate Perry Wellness Center with appropriate decorations throughout the holiday season.
“We are all getting excited about the season,” Sarah said. “To give our peer population a part in the decorating of Perry Wellness Center, we printed graphics for them to color, cut, and display in the classrooms and meeting rooms of Perry Wellness Center.”
This project provided an opportunity for anyone to join in the holiday spirit in an enjoyable group atmosphere.
In the photos (top to bottom), Sarah Teal, CPS, cuts out some finished pages with Halloween graphics, peer Mary Green shows off her partially completed graphics, and peer Destiny Allen does some up-close work with her own project.
Thanks to everyone for pitching in and bringing holiday spirit to Perry Wellness Center. Stay tuned for more holiday decorations throughout November and December.
