Williams Mural 1The Perry Wellness Center “artist in residence,” Jeff Williams, has just completed a project that is making the whole community smile. Bill Harris, owner of Café Campesino Coffeehouse in downtown Americus, recently commissioned a mural to adorn the side wall of the popular local gathering place. He wanted a spot that would not only catch the eye of passers-by, but create a cozy nook for outdoor dining and coffee breaks.

The striking mural took over three weeks to complete. The mural contains a bright array of butterflies, in tribute to the Rosalynn Carter Butterfly Trail in nearby Plains. After signing his name to the finished mural, Jeff said, “I hope this work will be perceived by locals and travelers as a way to brighten downtown Americus.”

The work of this talented artist is well known to visitors at Perry Wellness Center. He has designed and created everything from greenhouses to fountains to colorful signage, creating the same curb appeal he has now extended to downtown Americus.

Jeff, as always, we appreciate your work for the center and for the community!
