The coronavirus pandemic has effected the lives of all of us in varying ways. At Perry Wellness Center, the lack of team sports activity has been greatly missed. In the past, such activities included volleyball, horseshoes, and basketball.
“I enjoy physical activity,” says PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry. “Competition is a vital part of recovery for our peers. I always loved sports and realize how important they are for positive daily thoughts, as well as their physical health benefits.” A former local football star, Stuart throws himself into his peer mentoring with such enthusiasm that he is often referred to as “Coach” Perry.
While the photo above is a reminder of a friendly game of basketball taken before the pandemic, new equipment has already been purchased for a return season. Restrictions on outdoor activities have been reduced overall, and needed precautions will be taken, depending on the health forecast.
