Who is this masked woman? A closer look reveals that it is not a bandit but Perry Wellness Center’s own plant identification expert, Jamie Minich, conducting her scheduled watering of plant sites around the campus. Her mission is to stay healthy and safe while she keeps plants healthy as well. The latest upswing with the Delta variety of covid has her on alert.

“I know this mask won’t reveal the smile that I try to have,” Jamie acknowledges, “But I want to be safe. I do not doubt vaccinated people, but so many come to Happy Patch who may have been in contact with sick people. I am smiling, but I do want the protection from the virus.”
