Recently, Perry Wellness Center was pleased to host a visit from nursing students attending classes at Georgia Southwestern State University. They came to observe the program and speak with peers and staff, as they learn more about mental health and substance abuse as part of their curriculum.
In the past, members of this delegation have participated in such activities as raised garden harvesting and classes on plant cultivation. One group even helped brainstorm about the campus fountain garden when it was in the planning stages. On this visit, nursing students arrived during the Halloween celebrations for Spirit Week, but they stepped right in and joined the festivities. They were met upon their arrival by campus guide Kaylon Holt, dressed as “Judge” Kaylon for the day.
PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry was glad, as always, to have the visitors on campus. He said, “I do appreciate the vitality and willingness of these students to help with any event on campus. We enjoy this educational partnership with the upper classmen of the Georgia Southwestern State nursing program.”
Thanks for visiting, guys! You brought some school spirit with you, and we hope you appreciated the spirits we shared for Halloween.
