Neither cold weather nor holidays keeps growing plants from needing care and watering. And neither keeps Jamie Minich from keeping vigil over plant needs at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market. The dedicated plant authority not only searches for and identifies plants; she also helps keep existing ones on campus in the best shape possible, regardless of the season.
“I am constantly aware of the varying conditions of our plants at Perry Wellness Center,” Jamie says. “I have worked hard to keep our Christmas plants looking healthy and fresh. It is now time to work on plants for transitions to our spring and summer markets.”
Jamie hopes for more moderate temperatures for Summer 2022, as the market grows or imports spring and summer seasonals. Happy Patch also hopes to expand its mobile market in outlying counties. Existing plants that will be popular sellers in the spring and summer have been moved to spots where they can receive a watchful eye.
“The snowball plants were great, and they are down the hill to receive my attention,” Jamie explains.
