Sometimes it comes in quite handy to have an award-winning fine artist on the staff of Perry Wellness Center. To celebrate the movement of Rudy’s Happy Patch Market to a more accessible location on campus, project director Jeff Williams has refurbished an artistic creation he completed a while back. Now, “Happy Patch Tomato” hangs in its new place of honor in the revamped market. The 30” x 30” acrylic painting honors the tomato as the year-round produce for Happy Patch.
PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry explains, “A few seasons back, we noticed that locally and home-grown tomatoes were becoming the year-round fruit of Happy Patch Market. Jeff painted a great tomato face to welcome market customers.”
In the photo above, Happy Patch Tomato smilingly greets all who enter Rudy’s Happy Patch Market.
