At Perry Wellness Center, we are pleased with our good relationships with service organizations and caring businesses within our community. They often provide resources to assist the peers who attend our wellness and recovery program. One such community partner is Perfect Care, an adult personal care home in Americus that provides comfortable, attractive rooms and suites to seniors and other individuals who need additional support and companionship. Recently, Perfect Care donated several like-new mobility devices to Perry Wellness Center, ranging from rolling walkers and transfer chairs to even a wheelchair. Peers who need such equipment can benefit from this donation, and remaining equipment will be available to future distribution to local citizens who could use such mobility tools in their daily lives.

PWC founder and Stuart Perry knows that assistance to individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse problems is a community effort. He was surprised and grateful when he learned of the donation.

“As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month this May, we need to celebrate our local friends who team up to help more citizens in our area,” Stuart says. “I appreciate this kind gift of physical health equipment.”
