It’s an exciting time of year for Stuart Perry. The founder and CEO of Perry Wellness Center has seen his initial vision of Rudy’s Happy Patch Market as a community outreach project grow into its current reality as a vital fundraiser for the recovery center, as well as a gathering spot for everyone from mental health advocates to hungry shoppers. The reason for Stuart’s excitement? The arrival of seasonal produce.
“We get excited with the receiving of fresh produce from local farmers,” Stuart explains. “We already have many plants, ferns, and new plants, but we also have a greater variety of produce than ever. It is exciting to see our progress in another year.”
As customers eagerly await the arrival of their particular favorites, Stuart reports, “We expect our famous Chase Corn and Buchanan Farms tomatoes in about three weeks. We will keep monitoring our most popular names in local vegetables.”
In the meantime, Happy Patch reports that Buchanan Farms has yellow, crookneck, and acorn squash on hand, as well as pickling cucumbers. The also popular Rick Duke tomatoes are also available, as are dozens of other offerings. For the best farm to table dining, our market has it all.
