At Perry Wellness Center, market staff is in full Chase Farms corn mode. It’s a busy time for this coveted produce, which has a place of honor at summer barbecues. As the season progresses, harvesting times will keep Rudy’s Happy Patch Market on alert, and customers will be made aware of incoming deliveries of each available variety.

Chase Farms corn is now offered fresh or frozen by the bag. Six ears creamed and frozen are available for $4, and 12 unshucked ears for $6.

Wendell Chase, a member of the Chase Farms family, is one customer who loves to stop by. On a recent visit, she stopped by pick up her latest order of corn.

“Chase corn is like dessert,” she said. “I love it and am happy to come to Happy Patch and get fresh corn from my family fields.”
