Recent rain showers brought a halt to a planned volleyball challenge at our center, where it’s now our most popular sport. But Coach Chuck Wachob has developed a new training schedule for cooler or inclement weather.
Coach Wachob explained, “Since volleyball is our most liked game and offers extensive cardio and body-wellness motion, we will meet outside when possible. For cooler days and bad weather, we have to have a back-up plan.”
On the most recent rainy day, would-be volleyball players moved inside to the second floor weight room and worked on weight training exercises instead. Participants learned about gravity sit-ups and mat warm-ups and routines. In addition to weight training, peers had treadmills, elliptical machines, and exercise bikes at their disposal.
A little rain won’t stop the fitness regimen at Perry Wellness Center!
