At Perry Wellness Center, nurse Charlene Hayes is always busy with peers’ medical assessment and monitoring, along with supervision or administration of prescribed medications. But as a “people person,” she also enjoys opportunities to just chat with peers, staff or visitors.
Recently she sat down with a group of peers who have formed a bond around their mutual enjoyment of games and puzzles. Elsie, Debra, and Tamika attend all their group sessions, but as soon as each group is over, they resume their latest game or challenge around the table. When Miss Charlene joined them, she was able to both update their medical information and chat with the three ladies.
In the photo above, left to right, Elsie, Debra, Charlene, and Tamika enjoy their morning discussion, as the group assembles a jigsaw puzzle.
