Rosemary plants“Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme” is the name of a classic album released by Simon & Garfunkel in 1966. At one time or another, Rudy’s Happy Patch Market has had all four of the afore-mentioned herbs available to customers.

Right now, only rosemary is available for customer enjoyment. It is used as a spice or garnish in the home or garden, but primarily in the kitchen. Mediterranean dishes benefit from sprigs of rosemary; e.g., pasta and breads.

Rosemary is also used as a fragrance in soaps and skin care items. The bright but soothing scent is often used in candles. The herb has even been used medicinally to help improve memory.

At Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, many pots of rosemary are available now. In the photo above, a three-pot display welcomes visitors at the southern entrance to the market.
