With the news of non-Vidalia sweet onions flooding store shelves, Perry Wellness Center founder and director Stuart Perry is on alert about his own inventory. It is not uncommon to see Stuart walking around Rudy’s Happy Patch Market these days with a labelled Vidalia onion bag, showing customers that his onions identified as Vidalia sweet onions are definitely from nearby Vidalia, Georgia.

“I want to assure visitors and customers that we have true Vidalia onions!” Stuart explains. “I located smaller bags, and they have sold well at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market. I will share with any customers I see that these are the real Vidalia onions. I want to continue to be honest with friends and customers. I hope customers will continue to come by and pick up a bag from our extensive inventory of this popular product.”

Here on the front porch of the classroom building, Stuart Perry may be practicing for planned walks through Happy Patch when it bustles with potential Vidalia onion customers.
