Buchanan okraAt Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, interesting exchanges are often made. For example, Robert and Bertha Buchanan stopped by this week to drop off some fresh small-pod okra from their garden. When the left, they carried a collection box of spent or damaged tomatoes that could no longer be sold at the market.

Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry explained, “This exchange is good for everybody. We get great okra, and he does us a favor by taking our spoiled fruit for his animals.”
