Yellow FlowersAs summer finally heads toward fall at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, new fall colors are quickly filling vacated areas where summer plants and produce once were. Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry recently weighed in on his thoughts about seasonal product placement at the market:

“We become familiar with our inventory selection in a routine place. But moving inventory each week can cause increased interest in plant purchases. This relocation is similar to a theory of marketing used by WalMart and other larger retail stores. If you relocated popular items, customers will see additional items as they look for items normally in the routine space.”

So far, his theory seems to be working. In the photo above, brightly colored plants are relocated within Happy Patch to demand the interest of shoppers.
