For Stuart Perry, founder and CEO of Perry Wellness Center and Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, the rules are simple. For example, the importance of a strong plant inventory at the market: “If we do not have the product, we cannot sell it.”

Each year, the inventory of trees, potted plants, hanging baskets, and other plant increases. Yards all over Sumter County and beyond are sites for spotting some of Happy Patch’s most popular offerings, such as Knockout roses.

Stuart notes, “I do enjoy seeing our planted inventory in Southwest Georgia. We cannot claim every plant that we see, but most new plant groupings are from our market.”

After the latest shipment arrived recently, a busy Stuart added, “I hope this last shipment of plants is our final shipment for the season.” In the meantime, a large trailer shipment of plants was quickly unloaded and prepared for sale.
