Chimera PlantsTake a close look at the plant pictured here. It is unusual because it is considered a “self-mutated” geranium, also referred to as a chimera. The flower passes variegated color from bloom to bloom, until a formerly pink geranium now has several dominant pink blooms with darker borders.

This phenomenon is somewhat rare, but we have several currently in the Happy Patch gardens. Customers often enjoy such unique plants and share theories on how they got this way.
