At Perry Wellness Center, it’s only fitting that an award-winning artist has contributed so much to the brightness and cheer of the campus. It struck us recently when we stopped by the massive Hope Fountain that Jeff Williams constructed years ago and has maintained since.
This fountain has been moved several times for a variety of reasons -- which is quite a task, due to its bulk. With each move, a water disconnection and reconnection was also needed, as well as adjustments to landscaping. One might expect Jeff to turn his eyes away when he passes the fountain, but like the best artists, he wants to preserve and enhance his creations.
Let Jeff explain his feelings on the matter: “I do hope this massive structure is now at its final display space. All is flowing as it should, and the tiers of the fountain make great display space for plants.”
Over the years, Hope Fountain has become a favorite place for market customers and other PWC visitors to stop.
