Does everyone have an artist deep inside? At Perry Wellness Center, we believe that the answer is YES! Creative self-expression is an important part of a recovery program, and this spring, our peer members are demonstrating their creativity like never before.
Their latest project: decorating clay pots. These humble vessels, used to hold house plants, are now colorful works of art that complement the blooming plants they hold. As lush plants have blossomed in the center’s greenhouses, they are now on sale at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, along with the clients’ pottery wares.
Market manager Phyllis Bleckley notes, “We are happy to offer an increased variety of plants at Happy Patch Market. Now, with the creative expression of our peer clients, it is fun to offer both the plants and pots together.”
