Weight liftingAs part of our overall wellness program, Perry Wellness Center offers beginning weight-lifting classes for interested peers.  Counselor Noah Cochran developed the program, which provides both indoor and outdoor workout areas.

“I enjoy personal planning and training for our peers at Perry Wellness Center,” Noah said. “It is fun to note progress of the guys in our weight-lifting exercises.”

The weight-lifting program is just one exercise activity offered at the center.  Others include team volleyball and basketball, noontime daily walks, treadmill and elliptical work, and even such activities as horseshoes and billiards.

We subscribe to the WHAM (Whole Health Action Management) philosophy of combining physical fitness and other wellness activities as part of the overall recovery plan for peers.
