It’s that time again! Adventist Community Services has delivered its monthly food donations for peers at Perry Wellness Center. This stop is one of many on the four delivery routes of the south Georgia non-profit organization, ranging from Griffin to the north, to Douglas to the east, Thomasville to the south, and Buena Vista to the west. The food deliveries take place over a 982-mile route, after being purchased from the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank.
In addition to its food delivery service, Adventist Community Services also provides free health screenings with area churches, and it currently is involved with 14 scheduled screening sites.
Directors Carolyn and Hugh Lipscomb personally delivered this month’s food, and were assisted by peers in unloading the non-perishable foods and filling individual food bags for distribution to center peers.
What an amazing job this organization is doing in our local communities. Thanks once again!
