Over the years, Perry Wellness Center founder Stuart Perry has shared his personal story of recovery as both a local and national mental health advocate. These days, Stuart is more likely to be found on the campus of the recovery center, overseeing and participating in a variety of tasks, from gardening to construction to team sports.
Occasionally, however, Stuart takes the opportunity to speak to others about his own journey to mental health recovery and to advocate for those with behavioral health issues. Most recently, Stuart traveled up the road a bit and spoke to a civic group in Byron, Georgia. Before his presentation, Stuart was interviewed by the Sun News, an affiliate of the Macon Telegraph, and answered a variety of questions.
