Plant Inventory Grows at Market
What a bustling and colorful springtime it is at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market! Our plant inventory and sales have reached an all-time high, and no one is more pleased than our market manager, Phyllis Smith.
“We now inventory thousands of bedding plants, roses, hanging baskets, and shrubs in many varieties and in hundreds of colors,” she recently noted. “We must find room for this latest delivery and also add the area to our watering schedule.” Noting that the cooler morning is deceiving, Miss Phyllis advises that plant growers must be ready for hotter weather.
A quick walk-through at the market shows that the plant variety and abundance have not been overstated. As quickly as sales are made, replacements are being delivered to the market from outside vendors and on-site greenhouses.
“I invite citizens down for Mother’s Day shopping,” Miss Phyllis said. “We have plants and fresh produce for her special day.” Mother’s Day weekend is always an especially busy time at the market, with blooming hanging baskets a hot seller.
