A Friendly Smile, A Gentle Touch
For over six years, peer Mary Green has attended Perry Wellness Center. She has become known for her broad smile, with which she greets peers, staff, and visitors each day.
On a recent morning in the warming sun, Mary demonstrated another skill, as she manicured a larger box of Canna lilies and Wandering Jew plants on display. Winter has taken its toll on plants throughout the campus.
“I enjoy coming to Perry Wellness Center each day,” Mary said. “I like to meet friends and hear helpful groups.” She also enjoys her work with the numerous plants under her care.
Commenting on the improved weather, Mary also noted with a smile, “The warm sun can help every attitude and make people more willing to work.”
