Southwest Georgia farmers are not the only ones feeling blessed with the recent abundant rainfall. Peers whose daily tasks include watering plants across the wide Perry Wellness Center campus are enjoying the opportunity to take a break from garden hoses and watering cans.
PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry says, “With our inventory of permanent plantings and market hanging baskets and other plants, our watering schedule can be rough. I know that some people dislike the rain, but we need water to survive. Our plants at Perry Wellness Center seem to welcome natural rain.”
When surveying the grassy slopes and thriving plants across the campus, one is reminded that the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Soon the greenery will require increased maintenance, from plant trimming to lawn mowing. Down with the hoses; up with the garden shears!
