Rudy’s Happy Patch Market enjoys a diverse customer base from throughout southwest Georgia. Weekend gardeners, health-conscious cooks, Perry Wellness Center supporters, browsers, and bargain hunters drop by the busy market. While we appreciate the support of families, students, volunteers, we also welcome professional shoppers, from restaurant owners to decorators.
On a recent morning, landscaping contractors Brantley Wills and Chris Harty of Green Day Hydro Seeding stopped by. Brantley, who lives in Jakin, Georgia, shared that he had previously worked for Georgia Power for 15 years, When he was ready to move on professionally, his thoughts turned in a totally different direction.
“I wanted to start my own business, and I realized a niche that I could service,” he explained. “We like to seek large-area Bermuda and Zoyzia grasses. We have enjoyed a partnership with Pennington.”
Brantley continued, “The time came for us to broaden our market. I have discovered that Happy Patch Market is my go-to place for an assortment of healthy plants. I have bought flowers for years in this area, but this site is tops for selection.”
On this bright morning, Brantley and Chris discovered new plant varieties as they were being unloaded from a large container truck. Another successful visit!
