The holidays are a great time for peers at Perry Wellness Center to explore creative outlets. Recently, peers designed their own Christmas tee shirts. Using a variety of provided supplies and colorful materials, they captured Christmas memories and themes in creative ways.
Certified peer specialist Sarah Teal came up with the idea. She explains, “We have been discussing the true meaning of Christmas in our groups this week. I thought it would be good to let any peer that wanted to, to design and decorate tee shirts for at-home wear.”
A stroll through the classroom building caught many
peers hard at work with ribbons, glitter, bows, and
fabric paint, as they brought their Christmas ideas to life.
We’re happy to see the Christmas spirit alive and well at Perry Wellness Center – even if the smiles this year are hidden beneath protective masks.
