At Perry Wellness Center, we are always happy to see peers and staff put their spare time to creative hobbies. Some of our PWC family are both, such as Nakia Rhone, now our market staff leader at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market.

Even though market sales numbers are estimated to exceed last year’s impressive totals, Nakia finds time to continue work on latest project: a lavish, crocheted bed cover. It will take many skeins of yarn to complete the coverlet, which displays a unique pattern in a beautiful shade of blue. 

Pointing to the coverlet at her desk, Nakia says, “This will be pretty big and warm. I hope the customer likes it. I know the weather is hot and humid right now but this piece will feel good this winter.” We expect that her customer’s friend or family member will be happy to receive such a thoughtful present.
