Artist Jeff Williams may have displayed his paintings in the Louvre, but at Perry Wellness Center, he is often more MacGyver than Michelangelo. Putting his practical skills to work, Jeff recently solved a likely problem during the upcoming winter season.
As longtime readers know, Rudy’s Happy Patch Market shifted its location to improve access, but the new location is at a higher elevation and prone to some brisk breezes. For market clerks working in less closed-in areas than before, winter temperatures could be less than ideal.
Jeff explained, “I found this small plastic mini-office with a small flap door to lift for service. I think it will also be good during the warmer months with a fan.”
Market manager Nakia Rhone is already trying out the new shelter. In the photo above, she leans through the open (rolled up!) door, as she prepares to provide service to a customer.
