During the intense heat of this summer, several outdoor plants have died on the northern deck at Perry Wellness Center They seemed to have received an extra helping of sunshine! So it was time for a fresh start.

Rudy’s Happy Patch Market staff member Chaz Jones supervised the cleanup effort, working to discard the plants, save the remaining potting soil for fall planning, and clear the overall area for future use. Several two-gallon pots were also salvaged, which will come in handy for grafting new plants.

As the Bible tells us, for everything there is season. This is the season for sun-tolerant plants-- or shady porch and garden spots.
