Last Monday morning started with a surprise, when Perry Wellness Center peers received surprise gifts from a local business. SB&T Synovus Bank in downtown Americus had donated a huge box of personal care and hygiene products as a “Simple Needs Project.” Individual packets included such items as shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, combs, brushes, disposable razors, dental floss, body lotion, and alcohol-free mouthwash.
The donated box was kept hidden in Stuart Perry’s office until distribution on Monday, when peers happily lined up to claim their gift packets. An information board read: “Tag us on social media @synovus on Facebook and Twitter@Synovus Bank.”
As he helped distribute the welcome gifts, Stuart said, “I do thank SB&T for these generous gifts. I am happy that they selected Perry Wellness Center as a project center for this support. They are a proud supporter of Perry Wellness Center throughout the year, but this week, they are even more special!”
