Today we’re continuing our theme of returning shoppers at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market. We’ve noticed they are really ready to sample again from our local farm providers. The farm-to-table standard is one we have always embraced at Happy Patch. We currently rely on more than twenty area farmers for our produce, as well as peer-raised garden plots on the Perry Wellness Center and St. John’s Anglican Church campuses.
Some of the most popular farms serving the market include: Buchanan Farms, Elnora Farms, Chase Farms, Hagerson Farms, and Burk Farms. Market staff note that Ricky Duke tomatoes seem to be the most called-for item lately. “When will you have some Ricky Duke tomatoes?” is a familiar question.
We’re grateful for so many area farmers offering us such fresh, healthy produce at reasonable prices. And our customers, including local farmers themselves, love to compare notes about their favorites.
