It’s that time again – Spirit Week at Perry Wellness Center! The week before Halloween is celebrated each year with designated days for various costumes, food, and activities. So far this week, PWC peers and staff have experienced the following:
Monday: Wacky Tacky Day – Everyone dressed up in their silliest, tackiest looks.
Tuesday: Favorite Holiday Day – Activities included the annual pumpkin decorating contest.
Wednesday: Tie Dye Day – Folks went back to the 60s with their favorite tie dye attire.
Today is Twin/Group Day. People dress alike in pairs or larger groups. We will also have refreshments. Tomorrow is Favorite Sports Team Day. Peers and staff can pay tribute to their favorite team or athlete by dressing the part.
And of course Monday will be Happy Halloween Day. Everyone will wear their favorite Halloween costume and participate in a day of celebration, including Halloween movies, popcorn and pizza, and the announcement of the pumpkin contest winner and Spirit Week winners with prizes.
“We do enjoy this week of pretend and dress up,” says PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry. “Both our peers and staff look forward to this week when we let most anything go as far as pretend dressing. It is a fun time, and the holiday spirit begins this week.”
