Christmas float 2022
It’s just not the Christmas season without the annual downtown Americus Christmas parade. This year, Perry Wellness Center once again participated in the tradition of creating and riding a seasonal float through the historic streets of downtown. This year, PWC also once again – spoiler alert – a winner!

After weeks of sharing theme ideas, Amanda Perry Campbell and Jeff Wiliams began their interpretation of the perfect Christmas float for the center. The Shrek-themed float announced, “You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Have a Happily Ever After.”

“Our peers seem to enjoy our Christmas float more each year,” Jeff notes. “They get excited about picking their costumes for the night of the parade, because this is when they get to shine. It’s always fun to see them stroll through downtown Americus, meet people, and show their personal gratitude.”

The day after this year’s parade, the judges’ results were announced. For the sixth year, Perry Wellness Center was awarded first place for its interpretation and float design. The entry was also awarded Best Overall Christmas Theme.

In addition to winning First Place in the annual welcome to Christmas in Americus, the entry was also awarded Best Overall Christmas Theme. Congrats to the PWC team, and special thanks to Amanda and Jeff!
