If you take a look at the photo we’ve posted today, imagine it represents a blank canvas. (Technically, it is black nylon.) Right now, it looks rather stark, but in just a short time it will transform into a fall flower garden/display with a state-of-the-art watering system and over 1000 mums – all for sale at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market.
The display is on the west side parking asphalt below the market. You can picture the plants yourself, but we’ll let Jeff Williams, creative designer extraordinaire, explain the watering system.
Jeff says, “We want the plants to receive adequate water while on display. We have a mesh cover, so may get rain. Also, I want to be sure they are individually watered. Each “X” marks the site for a plant, and we have a water line that will be placed on the pot edge of each plant.”
Market associates are assisting in plant selection and sale, while Jeff is ensuring the plants stay healthy before they land in customers’ gardens or on front porches. Check back soon for the final results!
