Recently, we introduced readers to Perry Wellness Center peer Joel Hickox. A relatively new member of the program, Joel is now putting in some time at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market. Additional peers are now joining our market staff in order to meet the buying public and learn some of the basics of customer service, including good communication.

Joel enjoys the placement and feels up to the challenge. He says, “I like people and try to always have a smile and an offer to help our customers. The temperatures and fall customers are a bit different. But we are having fun as we learn to meet their needs.”

This past Monday morning, Joel selected a hanging basket of bright yellow pansies to place on the display stand nearest to the Happy Patch checkout counter. He is learning the value of careful product placement, among other skills. We’re happy that Joel is now one of the Perry Wellness folks who helps customers leave the market with a smile when they visit.
