Several years ago, artist and designer Jeff Williams created a covered walk for the campus of Perry Wellness Center. After completion of the arbor, he then selected a cover plant for the new structure.

Jeff recalls, “This covered arbor was a fun project, and it got bigger the more I built. We had a large supply of white jasmine on hand, so that was my selection for cover.” 

The resulting covered walk has become a beautiful place to ramble on spring days. The white jasmine makes a striking highlight and, as Jeff points out, “It has a wonderful smell.”

Each year, new white jasmine plants are purchased for display at Rudy’s Happy Patch Market, on the grounds of Perry Wellness Center. PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry notes, “We are proud of our arbor that Jeff built and designed. It promotes our jasmine plants, and the scent is wonderful.”
