A small dog owned by Kelvin Mullins recently joined peers for lunch at Perry Wellness Center. The new mouth to feed is named “Big Man,” and he managed to attract everyone’s attention at mealtime.

Kelvin Mullin’s sister, Sonya, pictured here with Big Man, has taken on the task of monitoring his eating habits. “Do not feed the dog anything but small pieces of meat with NO BONES,” Sonya advised, “I had to pull a chicken bone from his throat earlier. We are now friends, and I hope that I do not have to do that again!”

Kelvin acquired his new dog when someone delivered two dogs to PWC. Kevin volunteered to care for one of the dogs and brings him to the center each day to visit. As for Sonya, when she’s not keeping Big Man away from food dangers, she’s planning to use the photo that was snapped as a framed reminder of her new association.
