Willie Pryor Is Dedicated Peer
When the day begins at Perry Wellness Center, the first arrival is often Mr. Willie Pryor. He often arrives at the Happy Patch Market before the gates open. As soon as his transport van arrives on campus, Mr. Willie walks up the hill to the center and awaits the arrival of staff.
As soon as the market cooler is opened, he prepares to display the market produce for the day. Mr. Willie carefully sets out the display of produce in an attractive presentation. If he is not attending to this task, he is often hard at work with his broom and dustpan, ensuring the cleanliness of the market, as seen in the above photo.
“Mr. Willie is the first peer I speak to when I arrive,” notes Mary Rounds, staff clerk at the market. “He is eager to help clean Happy Patch Market and display inventory. He is never idle and enjoys representing all of us with a smile and determination.”
Our thanks to Willie Pryor for his dedication to his mission of recovery and his daily assistance in the mission of Perry Wellness Center.
