Voices of Recovery
Just a reminder that September is national Recovery Month. During the month, the public is asked to learn more about mental health and substance abuse problems. National Recovery Month also shares the message that recovery is possible from the effects of mental illness or addiction.
As a consumer-driven peer recovery program, Perry Wellness Center believes in the strength of individuals to recover, particularly when supported by caring communities of peers and loved ones.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is showcasing a YouTube series this month entitled “Voice of Recovery.” It spotlights seven young men and women who share their own personal stories of recovery. You can go to this link to watch the entire series.
Thank you for being part of the Perry Wellness Center caring community.
