Halloween Rounds Out Spirit Week
While Spirit Week is officially over at Perry Wellness Center, we wanted to share some final info from our Halloween celebration. Each year, we finish out Spirit Week with a Halloween party and costumes – and peers and staff outdid themselves this year!
On Halloween Day, everyone wore personally designed costumes or themed dress, then enjoyed tables of food and lots of socializing.
“This was a great year to celebrate our pride and comradery at Perry Wellness Center,” says PWC founder and CEO Stuart Perry. “Each peer and staff member helped others to get their costumes just right. It was a fun week and kept me laughing with what I saw!”
Culinary director Kelly Jansen made sure that lots of food was on hand to accompany the celebrations.
“Our tables were full of tasty and festive foods for this Spirit Week and Halloween,” Kelly notes.
We can’t resist highlighting the special costuming of the Perry family, whose members are always wiling to practice what they preach – and that includes dressing up for whatever the occasion. As you can see in the photo, left, everyone in the family went all out, after selecting “The Wizard of Oz” as the theme for this Halloween’s dress-up. Stuart was appropriately dressed as the Wizard, while Pam Perry dressed against type as the Wicked Witch of the West. Amanda Perry was typecast as Glenda the Good Witch, and four-legged family member Gracie debuted her Flying Monkey costume.
The “Wizard” summarizes his thoughts about the day: “This has been fun for my family and for Perry Wellness Center. Most of the peers and staff enjoyed Halloween and kept away evil spirits for the day.”
Here’s to continued good spirits for the remainder of this year’s holiday season!
