Now that the holiday rush is over at Perry Wellness Center, Stuart Perry is ready to welcome spring at the market, along with an expanded reach.
“Being among the first to offer plants and baskets in this area of Americus and Southwest Georgia, makes me celebrate another busy year at our market,” he recently explained. “We have plans to broaden our customer territory. Mulkey [McMichael] has agreed to offer our plant inventory on the first and third Fridays in March in Buena Vista and the first and third Saturdays in March in Ellaville. As our spring inventory of plants increases, I am sure that he will also display and sell these plants.”
After the cleaning and conditioning of all campus greenhouses, the first shipment of seasonal plants has been received. Charlie Stevens of Leslie recently delivered a load of early geraniums, hanging baskets, and other plant varieties.
“I know that Stuart loves plants and wants to be early to provide these plants for customers,” Stevens noted. “I join him in celebrating spring.”
Stuart concluded, “I know the groundhog prediction of a late spring, but I want to be sure to offer first customers a good variety of plants.”
