Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry recently experienced another personal milestone, as he celebrated his 59th birthday. On May 2, he arrived at his office to find an outpouring of love and best wishes from peers and staff. Behind the door were decorative wall postings, numerous birthday cards, and home-baked cakes and cookies.
“I love this place and the people here,” Stuart said, obviously moved. “It is fun each day to come and do what we can to improve the lives of others. Today, they have made me appreciate my 59 years. It is great to welcome another year.”
Stuart further reflected, “God has been good to me. I have learned to be thankful each day that I wake up.”
During the morning festivities, Stuart also enjoyed a special birthday tradition at Perry Wellness Center. As staff and peers gathered on the porch to sing along, Annie Ruth Thomas sang “Happy Birthday to You” over the center’s intercom. As always, after the last line of the song, Stuart belted out, “And many more!”
