Now that the holiday season has passed, peers are ready to place a renewed focus on meeting their personal goals at Perry Wellness Center. And staff must apply themselves to necessary documentation. Peer interviews are being scheduled, notebooks retrieved, and pens uncapped.
Staff nurse Charlene Hayes explains, “We took a break and slower pace at Christmas and New Year’s, but now it is back to work. We must document the progress and success of peer-planned goals. We cannot get behind with this task.”
Documentation may not be among the most glamorous or exciting tasks at the center – it hardly compares with team sports or planting winter gardens. But charting peers’ progress and challenges is a valuable part of helping them achieve major life goals.
Here’s to a productive year for all our dedicated peers and staff!
