On Friday, May 3, a familiar truck and trailer from Rudy’s Happy Patch Market pulled into the town square of Buena Vista, Georgia, for the first mobile market of the season in Marion County. The weather was cooperative, and the merchandise was plentiful and in bloom.
Shortly after the trailer was parked, the first customer appeared, with questions about inventory. After the first purchase was made, many other customers stopped by to shop the mobile unit, filled to the brim with blooming plants and greenery.
Perry Wellness Center founder and CEO Stuart Perry appreciates the mobile market as an outreach arm of the center in his hometown. Public relations director Mulkey McMichael explains, “The market has become a personal information center about Happy Patch Market and the activity of Perry Wellness Center. We plan to return to Buena Vista on the first Friday in June with a different inventory of products.”
Peer Kaylon Holt accompanied Mulkey to the market day. Mulkey notes, “Kaylon knows people in Ellaville, Buena Vista, and the area. He can wave and stop customers so they will come and speak or shop. He is a great representative for Perry Wellness Center.”
